Sound & Waves
This versatile equipment module is easily mastered by middle school students, yet is capable of performing sophisticated experiments that will challenge even the most advanced high school scientists. Your students will also be able to create different patterns of standing waves on a vibrating string using the Sound & Waves console and the wiggler. The console is used with the Timer II, so students will be able to easily measure the frequency of the sounds they hear (or do not hear) and the waves they see.
